Lumen Reader (“the extension”) is a browser extension that turns cluttered web pages into a clean, comfortable reading view, with adjustable light, dark, and sepia themes and text sizes. This policy explains how Lumen Reader handles your information. In short: it doesn’t collect any.

Data we collect

None. Lumen Reader does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or user data. We have no servers that receive your data, no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts.

How Lumen Reader works

Everything Lumen Reader does happens locally, inside your own browser, on your own device. When you switch a page into reading mode, the extension reformats and recolours that page in your browser. The pages you read are never sent to us or to any third party. Nothing leaves your computer.

Permissions

Lumen Reader requests only the minimum browser permissions needed to function. The activeTab permission is used to read and restyle the page you are currently viewing, only when you activate Lumen Reader. The scripting permission is used to apply the clean reading view to that page. These permissions are used solely to provide the extension’s features. They are not used to collect or transmit any information.

Third parties

Lumen Reader does not share data with third parties, because it does not collect any data. It contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking code. All software libraries used by the extension are bundled within it and run locally; nothing is loaded from external servers at runtime.

Children’s privacy

Lumen Reader does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
